| Just over a week to go to the Hamble open, the last open meeting before the nationals. A good turnout is required to reward HRSC for what is always a brilliant event The NOR is on the homepage, use this thread to find yourself a boat / helm / crew / lift Also coming up this saturday is an open meeting at Budworth. Start is at 11am and there is a small but keen home fleet at this historic Firefly venue http://www.budworthsc.org.uk/ |

| Hi all, As Chris says Hamble Open really does need your support this year. Without 20 plus entries to the event the Firefly Class are likely to lose their 'slot' in next years Hamble River SC calendar. Hamble River SC will be organising a superb event. The 2009 Nationals PRO Jamie Wilkinson is on board the committee boat, excellent safety cover has been arranged, catering and bar has been laid on and you know it will be sunny with 15 knots of breeze on both days - all we need to make a fantastic event is some competitors! If you're going to be in Hamble please post below and ENCOURAGE your fellow Firefly owners to join you. This is the last open before Tenby and you know you need the practice! See you next weekend. | More Hamble Open notes if you need a crew I know someone good looking for a top helm... and if you need a boat I can find you one...the chairman has offered his for Sunday! and if you need somewhere to stay bring a tent and we'll find some space... Barney |

| Looking forward to the event! Lucy has lent my her boat because mines not ready,so I'm good to go though, my west Kirby crew can't make it Barney can you help me ??? thanks James we have got the kameen family staying so Paul's in !! |

| Eddie Mays had some really good shots from the open - http://www.eddiemays.com/index.php Nigel won the event (welldone) - great breeze all weekend, perhaps a little too much at times on Saturday, but it made it quite 'exciting'! |
